Getting In The Loop With Loop Stitching

It's been another busy month here at SPF, and from time to time we see an increase in certain finishes or binding methods. That can be down to a number of reasons - term time, students wishing their dissertations to be bound and finished etc. This month, we have noticed an increase in customers wanting Loop Stitching.

But what is loop stitching? Well, to put it simply, it is a variant of the often seen saddle stitching but with loops added into the binding, either via the saddle stitching attachments, or using special 'loop' staples. These loops allow the document to be threaded together with other documents, or bound into a ring binder, for example.

The above photo shows an unusual change to the standard 2 or 4 loop wires - this is a single loop wire, on an A6 landscape document. This will be used by the client as a lanyard which we think is a pretty novel idea!

We are always happy to discuss unusual, or slightly different ways to achieve the effect you want with your printing or binding. If you have an idea you want to discuss with us then give us a call on 01903 812373 or email Roy on roy@sussexprintfinishers.co.uk and we can discuss how and if we can make it happen for you.
